Sail was born and raised in a small artist-based community in BC, and relocated a few years ago to Montreal, where her songwriting began to take shape. Her folk influences range from Joni Mitchell to Tallest Man on Earth, Patrick Watson and Kings of Convenience. Sail creates a warm and pure space for imagery, while keeping the arrangements simple. She takes much of her inspiration from nature.
